* After winning the first two playoff rounds, the Post #230 VFW is in the final eight team tourney with games starting Saturday in Forest Lake. We will play nowMaple Grove on Saturday at 11am. Game time for Sunday will be determined by the outcome of this game. *
From its modest beginnings in 1955, VFW Baseball has emerged as one of Minnesota and the nation's finest Youth Baseball programs.
The St. Anthony VFW Baseball team is sponsored by the Columbia Heights Post #230 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Through their sponsorship, athletes 16 years old and younger from St. Anthony Village High School are able to play baseball each summer. The team's roster is selected early each May by the St. Anthony Village High School coaching staff.
Post #230 plays 30+ games each summer between late March and August, participating in a full league schedule as part of the VFW's 7th District, weekend tournaments, and the 7th District playoffs.
In 2006, Post #230 won the Minnesota VFW State Championship.
