The St. Anthony Norsemen is a 35+ amateur baseball team in the Federal League. Founded in 2006, The Norsemen have provided excitement and memories to the players that have come through, the families supporting them, and the community that watches them play. They've also provided closets with 3 or 4 different uniform designs in that period. Norsemen players hail from St. Anthony as well as the greater northeast metro area.
Senior men's baseball has a rich tradition of providing competitive baseball opportunities for players over 35 years old in Minnesota. We currently play in the East Division against teams from St. Paul (JT's, Senators, Cannons), Apple Valley A's, East Metro Mammoth, Minneapolis Diablos, Richfield, South St. Paul and St. Croix Valley. The Norsemen play home games at the beautifully manicured Palm Field next door to St. Anthony Village High School.
The guiding philosophy of this baseball club is that we find ourselves lucky to continue playing this game we love. By the time players reach the Federal League, we have commitments to spouses, kids, employers, and the health of our body that tend to get in the way of spending too much time on the field. So we cherish the time we get in the dirt and the turf; we play politely and competitively; we enjoy each other more every year; we welcome new members with support and pleasant barbs about remembering how to slide and how to hit a curveball.
Any day you get to play baseball is a great day.
The team is managed by Dustin Gingerich, Paul Morita and Steve Jahnke Jr. Please visit our Facebook page for contact information and to ask any questions in regard to the team at https://www.facebook.com/StAnthonyNorsemen
